Sannie and Ollie

Well no one likes a blog without some pictures! Here a couple of pictures of San and Oll. Sannie hasn't been fortunate enough to find a job yet and the one she had last summer just doesn't need her. So she has been spending a lot of time with Ollie and me. I'm not complaining its been nice to have her around!

Paperwork done!! for now

Well we just finished our latest batch of paperwork! Just when you think your done the US Government wants 3 more forms and your agency wants 3 forms signed and notarized, 47 pages signed and dated and 6 of those on front and back, 2 more forms signed and dated, several pages initialized and the last page of those forms signed. WHEW!! Tomorrow we will have them sent to our agency with our next payment. Not that any of this will make our LOA (I think its called Letter of Confirmation really) to come faster but it will be nice to have all of the paperwork out of the house. And remember this is like our third set of paperwork we have done.

Update: Nothing really. Things seem to be chugging along in China. For a while a few agencies reported they were slowing down because of the Swine Flue but our agency never reported that. China was closed Thur and Fri of last week for the Dragon Boat Festival so hopefully they come back on Monday all rested and ready to go! And right now it is Monday in China! Lets hope they start sending LOAs at a new record pace. Please keep us in your thoughts for a speedy LOA. I had thought when we started this adoption we would travel by Mid summer now I don't even have a guess.

The Name

Boys names are Kens job to pick and girls names are mine. So it was up to Ken to choose a name for Dong Dong. Well he really didn't have much to choose from. He had Theodore and Beckett. We (the rest of the family) had offered many names. We even had friends suggest names. But he was pretty sure it was going to be Beckett then at the last minute as we were filling out a form that needed his American name he changed his mind. Soooooo our new sons name will be Theodore Lawrence Dong Dong Woods. We aren't sure what his nick name will be yet but at least we have a name to start calling him!

The amazing Ken strikes again!

What do we do on the weekends you may wonder? We build rooms. These are a few pictures of one of the rooms (Sans) we finished in the basement this past weekend. I say we but what I really mean is Ken does all the building and electrical and I do all the decorating. Along with this room he finished Max's room (he had to build walls, mud and paint) before we could move Max into it so we could do Sans room. He also did a little electrical, installed a door, built a built in bookcase in the basement AND OH YEAH HE STARED IN A BALLET ON THE TRAMPOLINE WITH LILLY AND OLLIE! Yes they did "Sleeping Beauty " it was magnificent! Lilly of course was Sleeping Beauty, Ollie was the Queen and the Good Fairies, and Ken was Maleficent the evil fairy. So as you can see Ken is truly an amazing wonderful dad and husband!!! Next weekend we finish the other side of the basement!

Bells

The Bell choir group that Lilly plays in did a concert at our local hospital this past week. Lil of course was so excited to play and sing. They were the first group to learn to play 7 cords more then anyone else has learned.

Adoption Up date

Well there really isn't an update so that's the update. We did get a LOT of paperwork from Linda at WACAP that needs to be filled out signed initialed notarized etc. That's always fun! Last time once we were LID we just got to wait for our TA. Well along with the added steps comes added paperwork! Yippee!!!
