Happy Holidays

The presents are bought and wrapped the stocking are stuffed the Holiday concert has been sung and the Christmas pageant is over. AND Sannie will be home tomorrow. There is just enough snow to look pretty but not a pain. Now we can just sit back and enjoy the season. Happy Holiday to all and may Santa bring you all that you hope for. Come tomorrow I will have all I need, our kiddos all under one roof!!!! Oh and yes that is Dorothy. Lilly sang Some Where Over the Rainbow in the Talent show at school the first week of Dec.

Gingerbread Houses

So much fun again this year with our annual Gingerbread house decorating! Max and Megan shared a big house while the "Little's" each had a small house of their own. Lilly was very serious while Ollie just kept adding more and more snow around her house (it looked like a Nor-Easter came through) and Teds looks like Mr. Gingerbread got murdered out in front of his house (this is because he wanted Ken to draw a Gingerbread Man in red frosting and it looks like a body out line :o). Now Max and Megan spent 2hrs on their house and don't you just love the nose on that Snow Man!

Hiking...

We have always said that we needed to come to Conway for a few more days so we could hike some of the trails we pass on the way here. We finished Story Land yesterday so today was the day to do a hike. I noticed we passed Ripley Falls on the way over about 20 minutes back on 302 and checked it out on the web and map. It is only about 0.6 miles off the road so no problem, right? Turns out is also part of the Appalachian Trail, so we killed two birds with one stone. Grandma was toughing it out and we finally made it, and it was worth it, wows all around when you get there. You can see in the family photo that Max is conspicuously absent because he was already on his way up to the top of the 100' falls. You can see him at the top in two of the photos. Of course if he made it I had to go too, the view from the top was really cool (and slippery, use extreme caution!!!). We passed another Grandma going up on our way down, she was not doing as well as our Grandma!!! Photos can be seen on the web album in more detail:

Story Land 2010

Another great day at Story Land! We did an afternoon and the next day, we were all pretty wiped out by the end but had wonderful weather. The young ones had their faces painted (Ollie was great!), Ted really liked driving the cars and Lilly always loves everything. The only thing that made it a little short of perfect is Sannie's absence :^( Check out the great photos!!!

Sannie's off to Guatemala

San finally made it to Guatemala after a weeks delay. So lets hope for no more volcano eruptions, tropical storms or sink holes! She will be there for 9 weeks working for the Guatemala Government in international adoptions. Her apartment sounds nice I will post pictures when I get some and she sounds excited to start work on Monday. Here are some family pictures we took right before we she left. And I've added one of my "special" sleeping pictures. Sannie is going to scream when she sees this. She checked the camera to make sure I had NO sleeping picture of her when she feel asleep in the car when she got home from Spain. Little did she know it was on my phone camera! HAHAHAHA got you San.

Hmmmm another new hair style!

So maybe Ted isn't that excited about his new hair cut OR maybe he is just a clown. This is one of Lilly's Stuffies wigs. He came down with it on his head yesterday and told me he looked like Freddie (from Scooby Doo). Maybe we should grow his hair out and dye it blond!

May Day

Lilly's school has a May day celebration every year and this year her and Ollie wanted to wear their Flamenco dresses San brought them home from Spain. Aren't they just so pretty? Lilly and Ollie, not the dresses!

Papa and Ted (Also dont fall asleep when Carrie has a camera!)

Teddy loves to have a job to do. So when Grandma and Papa come he likes to help out in the flower garden. He cleaned up all the piles of weeds and dumped them in the woods for Papa. As you can see it was hard work (hahahahaha).

Hair Cut

OK. You have to understand that poor Ted sweats soooooo bad that his little (well sorta) head is soaked all the time. So after hearing the story about my nephew's mishap haircut I decided that that was the cut Ted needed for the summer. After one swipe you cant go back. After Ollie got done laughing she told him he was "cute". You should have seen Ken's, San's and Max's faces but they told him he looked good. At least I wont have to cut it so often AND he isn't sweating as much. Oh and one more thing he thinks I cut it just like Papa's!!!!!

Hotel

I wish now I would have taken a picture of every hotel we have ever stayed at. I think we stay more then the average family :o) But gotta love the pools! Not sure if I should post pictures of Ken in his swim suit he could return the favor!
