About Me

Well besides being a Mom and a Wife I teach Preschool and I'm a Brownie Girl Scout Leader. So here are two pictures that represent that part of my life. Usually I wouldn't post a photo of the children from my class but I think you can understand why it was OK this time. These are the mask we made for our Chinese New Year celebration. There are only 9 children in my class and they are so much fun! The school only takes 10 in this class so I'm all most full but the class seems so small to me because in the past Ive had classes of 12-14. I get to spend so much time with them one on one and have learned so much about them. Its nice to have a small class.

The other photo is of stacks of Girl Scout Cookies! They are leaving my house (or left by the time you read this) today! I have a small troop so I only had 722 boxes in my kitchen.

The Weekend

It was nice to have Sannie home for a couple of days. After we got our fingerprints done we came home and left the little girls with Daddy and her and I went shopping for a couple of hours. Its nice to spend some time alone with her. She needed some sun glasses and she thinks her face is too round so it takes her a while to choose a pair and I needed a pair o gold earrings for next weekend. I only wear silver so I had no gold. We had her favorite dinner (anything with mashed potatoes!) and sat around and watched Phantom of the Opera til bed time. She went back to school today :( but we will see her next weekend for the CISLA Banquet. Ill write more about that next week. Max had a hockey game tonight. They won 7-2. Max got Hat Trick! The team played well. Lilly brought her pom poms so she could cheer. She really doesn't watch the games she just jumps around shaking her pompoms yelling "Go Hanover". I'm sad to see vacation end tomorrow. With how much the INS fiasco took out of me I could use another week off!

I800A Worries/NBC Rocks

Well I'm so glad its Friday and the week is over! What a week it has been with all the ups and downs of our I800A. Ill start with Tue. I decided to call the NBC and ask on the status of our I800A thinking I would hear "Everything is fine we are just waiting on your fingerprint clearance." Well instead I hear "You have been sent a form requesting more information." More information on what?!!! "You need to talk to your Officer and a letter was mailed on the 11Th." So do you think I can reach a person? Right..... So I run to the mail box and the letter is there. They want a "Child abuse Registry Check " on Sannie from the state of CT where she goes to College. I'm not happy about this because our agency had sent our Home Study back 3 times for corrections but never thought we might need this?!!! OK so I get on the phone and start trying to reach someone at DCF in CT but of course I have dial up and I don't find the site til 4:45. Meanwhile I have left 5 messages with NBC and called our agency. Well our agency tells me they will email me the form Sannie needs to fill out and have her MAIL it back to them and then they will MAIL it to CT DCF. WHAT!!!! DCF has a fax number! Once they have it they will send a copy to our Home Study agency and they can do the addendum and then once they get that they will mail it all off to NBC. To say the least I went to bed sick to my stomach and crying. This could take a week if not more the speed our Home Study agency works.(Sherrie I hope you were enjoying FL.! Just kidding I really do hope you had a GREAT time. But I could have used your support:) I get up the next morning on a mission to have this all done by Friday when we get our Fingerprints taken. I call CT they give me a fax number directly to the person who does the clearance (really it was 6 calls before I got the right person) our NBC Officer (Who Rocks) calls me and gives me her fax number and tells me she doesn't what any addendum just fax the letter of clearance. I call our agency and tell them what I've been told AND by Thur afternoon I get a call back from NBC that our I800A has been approved pending our fingerprints passing!!!!! So Dong Dong Mommy will not let anyone try and delay us even a day more then necessary in bringing you home! And daddy helped so much making calls when mommy just didn't feel like she could talk to one more person from DCF. So I'm hoping we get our INS approval with in the next 2 weeks!

Snowy day in NH

Lil has been dying to make a snowman all winter but the snow was never sticky enough to make one. We finally had a wet snow and Ken and the kids built a snowbear. I think it was almost 8 feet tall!!!

FCC Group New Years' Celebration

Here Lil and Ollie are dressed for the Chinese New Year party. It was a lot of fun and the girls did several projects including lanterns, ox tails, Chinese character cards, and others. One highlight was a dancing dragon with a kettle drum.
Of course there was plenty of food and a cake to celebrate the year of the ox!
