Apple picking

It's days like these that make one remember why we live in New England. Upper 60's, light breeze, crystal clear blue sky, pumpkins in the field, and fresh cool red juicy apples hanging from the branches. Usually the girls need to be picked up to find good apples but not today, the branches were completely full top to bottom. Ollie was on a mission to fill her bag, "just one more!" 25 pounds later, we were finally able to convince her that it was time. The girls were excited to see the horses pull up and we were able to squeeze on the wagon for the ride back down. The checkout line was by far the longest I have ever seen it, a lot of people had the same idea today. A day off from hockey, great time with the family, perfect weather, and a good dinner (Friendlys), baking hot apple crisp tomorrow. What else could one ask for?!

First days for Ollie

Ollie had a really busy week. She started school this week. She goes two days, Tue and Thur in the afternoon. Then dance class also started this week. We weren't planning on putting her in dance class this year after stopping half way through last year. The separation was just too hard on her and I would just spend the entire class in the room standing against the wall and she wouldn't dance. But she asked to go so we thought we would try again. It started off GREAT but out of the blue she started crying and needed to come out and see me and couldn't leave my lap except for one tap dance. The good thing is she has asked to go back next week and told daddy that she danced and had fun. We are so fortunate to have a wonderful dance teacher, doreen, who has just been great about Ollie's issues. Next week we throw in "Story time" and play group on top of her 3 speech therapy sessions too!

Sannies gone beck to Conn

Today was the day we packed up Sans car and the mini van and headed to Connecticut to bring her back to school. First let me say after driving her car with NO cruise control I am so thankful for cruise control! San was excited to get back to school and see her friends. She is back in Plant, the dorm she had her first year, and its a nice small dorm. She is in a single right across the hall from her first room. Its a really nice room and of course I gave her some decorating tips. Well maybe I did take over a little :0)
