Max and Lils First Day of School

Today was the first day of school for Max and Lil, almost a week before the end of August. Can you guess who was more excited? Both brought home lots of forms for our signatures and both got homework. Ollie missed Lil so much. She was so excited when Lil got off the bus. Speaking of the bus this was the first year Lil did not want to ride the bus to school. And what did Sannie do today? She spent the day at an amusement park with friends from school.

HAIR!!!

I think the pictures say it all! Lilly has been wanting her hair cut all summer and today was the day. She couldn't even sleep last night and she must have asked me a thousand times if it was time to go yet this morning. She asked if we could leave early because she didn't want to be late for her hair appointment. This was Lil's first time getting her hair cut at a salon so I let her get the works, wash, condition, and dried. They cut off 10in so it could be sent to Locks of Love. She LOVES it!

A day in the park

Well the weather turned out better than it was supposed to be and we had a great time at Six Flags. The drive over was going good until we got about 10 miles away and hit some construction, ughhh. Once inside we hit the carousel and met up with Scooby. The older kids went to the big coasters and we took the girls to Loony Tunes. The girls got a kick out of the cars and Ollie was a little surprised the first time around but got the hang of it quickly. Since it was hot and humid we hit the water park to cool down after our $25 pizza. A quick swing through Wiggle World and Lil was ready to hit the big rides at the end of the day. She did the Sasquatch Drop and Launch (it was freakin' high!!!), the Canyon Blaster, and ended the day with the Comet, a great old fashioned coaster. They had some cars on display and Max found a couple he really liked...

Beach Days

What a wonderful week we have had and the weather has just been great. Max took the girls to the beach on Wed and I took them on Thur and Fri. Its only about 10 min from our house and yesterday we had the beach pretty much to ourselves. The girls play so well together and I don't have to worry about them going out too deep because the rope stops at Ollie's chin. They dig in the dirt, swim, play with their Barbies and I read and enjoy watching them. What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.
